Matthew Cain is a tuba player in Brooklyn, ny.

 

Active in the classical music, marching band, and brass band scenes since 2014, Matthew makes music across New York City and the northeast.

He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Yankee Stadium, Mysteryland USA in Bethel Woods, the McKittrick Hotel, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Boston's Faneuil Hall, the BSP Theater in Kingston, NY, the New York Botanical Garden, The Bitter End, and many clubs and venues across the city.

He was the founding tuba player with the Funkrust Brass Band, and played with Gallant Entertainment, Inc's City Beats (the official band of the New York City Football Club) for four seasons.

He's played with the Hungry March Band, the Greenwich Village Orchestra, and with the West Coast Big Band in Galway, Ireland. He's shared the stage with jazz legend Rufus Reid and hip-hop pioneer DJ Maseo, and has opened for Coldplay and Skrillex.

Matthew is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 802. He's also pretty good at bar trivia.
